Shopping cart bumpers

  I've been whiplashed by a shopping cart and the pain inflicted to the back of my ankle is enough for me to wish there would have been a soft bumper on the front of the cart around the pipe that is ankle high. You all know the one. I understand that there are hundreds of injuries a year involving shopping cart to ankle encounters. Is there anything being done. Thank you! Chito
