Cooking Classes

Cooking Classes business. Cook up a recipe for business success with culinary classes.

  Business Overview

Does everybody rave about the meals you prepare? If so, why not put your extraordinary cooking skills to work by teaching others how to be great cooks? Operating right from home on a small scale, you can teach students how to prepare fantastic meals. If you choose to operate on a larger scale, you will need to rent appropriate commercial space or partner with a restaurant or banquet facility and offer classes during nonbusiness hours. Either way, fantastic profits can be earned by teaching others how to make unforgettably tasty meals, desserts, and appetizers. You can earn additional profits by selling cookware and kitchen utensils to students, and even create and sell recipe books locally. One-on-one, students pay $20 to $30 per hour to learn how to prepare gourmet meals, and about half that amount when three to five are taught at the same time'less per student, but more income through volume. Needless to say, it does not take many students to earn an extra $1,000 per month working just a few nights and weekends. Start-up costs are also minimal because chances are you will already have everything you need in terms of cookware and other tools of the cooking trade. Post fliers in grocery stores, retail shops, and at your local butcher shop advertising your classes. This is the kind of specialized service that people tend to talk about, so don't be surprised if you are quickly inundated with more students than you can handle.
