Device to deliver drugs

    The idea is to create a new device which will be small enough to be injected into the eye, where it will be maneuvered to deliver drugs more effectively.
    The device will be controlled electro-magnetically to the desired location of the eye, where it will then deliver a capsule of medication or remain in place for a long period of time, delivering prolonged treatment. It can then be removed from the eye with a magnetic needle.
    Such a delivery system could be particularly useful in treating macular degeneration, because the drugs could be delivered directly to the affected parts of the retina.
