Bacteria sensor

A tiny new wireless sensor placed on a tooth will be able to monitor bacteria and transmit the data to an external sensor.
The prototype sensor will be created by printing graphene onto water soluble silk, which will allow it to be transferred to the surfaces of biological materials. A resonator coil on the sensor will function as an antenna to allow wireless communication and provide power.
The ability to detect bacterial contamination quickly will help to reduce the instances and severity of disease outbreaks.
