I am wondering how to incorporate other software applications and tools to an online interactive whiteboard?

I am in the middle of a study to find an online interactive whiteboard and 5 different software tools to use, outside of the tools that come with it. I am open to any suggestions on how to start this process since I am a novice to the ED TECH scene.
