I suggest using a plastic metamaterial to build a cloak that makes objects invisible to sound waves.
The cloaking device will be made of stacked sheets of plastic filled with holes that will be sized and arranged to redirect sound waves by either blocking them or absorbing them. The device will work for audible frequencies between one and four kilohertz, which is the same frequency as the higher two octaves on a piano.
