  Aerial Photography business.

  Business Overview

There are a few approaches that can be taken when considering an aerial photography business as a new self-employment venture. The first approach is to take photographs of the subject, property, or building from an airplane or helicopter. The second approach is to purchase a remote controlled inflatable that has an automatic camera mounted on it that can be operated from the ground. The second approach has become very popular, as it is a less costly option over the long-term. Potential clients for an aerial photography business can include homeowners wishing to have a picture of their homes from a different perspective, land developers for subdivision and property development purposes, and business owners for a unique outlook on their business that can be used for promotional purposes. Rates vary largely for aerial photography that is conducted from an airplane. However, current billing rates for photography pictures that are taken utilizing a remote controlled inflatable are in the range of $150 to $200 per half day, and more than $300 for a full-day rental of operator and equipment.
