  Snowmobile Rentals business.

  Business Overview

Snowmobile riding is an extremely popular outdoor wintertime activity that is enjoyed by millions of people in North America. A snowmobile rental business is unique and specialized and requires a sound business and action plan put in place prior to activating the business. One absolute must is liability insurance, due to the nature of the activity.
start-up costs: Starting a business that rents snowmobiles on a seasonal basis can be very costly, as new high-powered snowmobiles can cost as much as $10,000. However, if you are mechanically inclined and have the ability to repair and maintain snowmobiles, you can minimize start-up costs by purchasing good-quality secondhand equipment. Generally, late-model secondhand snowmobiles sell for about half of the cost of a similarly equipped new one. Current snowmobile rental rates are in the range of $30 per hour, and $150 to $200 per day.
