  Mystery Shopper Service business.

  Business Overview

No mystery here, the title of this business opportunity explains it all. Go undercover and mystery shop at clients' businesses to assess their employees, operating procedures, and customer service policies. In the past decade more companies, organizations, and retailers have introduced mystery shopper programs into their business than ever before. And for good reason, as mystery shopper programs work very well at uncovering customer service problems and such. Many mystery shopper companies specialize in a particular industry or type of business, such as retail clothing stores and automobile service centers. You may also want to consider specialization for your business. Generally, the mystery shopper will prepare a document detailing their findings, relaying their experiences, and making recommendations to clients upon completion of their visit. Expanding the business is as easy as hiring additional mystery shoppers to work on a 'subcontract as-needed basis.' The industry is competitive so whatever relevant experiences and training you can bring to the table, the better. These experiences could include managerial training, prior customer service postings, human resources experience, and operations specialists. There are even mystery shopper training courses available that can put you on the path to starting and operating your own business. Once established the income potential is in the range of $15 to $25 per hour, per mystery shopper.
