Everyone can make a love bite at someone's neck - but how about the forehead? That again may be too difficult for most. I guess it's high time that someone assembles a Love Bite Chart, so we all know where on the body it's easiest to make a love bite, and where it's harder. Teenagers could then engage in contests, instead of uncreatively leaving marks on each other's necks. This could be subject of a fun website or a highly scientific (medical) project.

Not all people like tongue piercings, but those that do like them for various reasons - some think they're fashionable, others think they're practical... For those who think they're practical, I'm simply wondering if it's strictly necessary to punch a hole into your tongue to have a little stimulating something in your mouth. I'm aware it's a challenge due to the shape of the tongue, but I think it should be entirely possible to create a strap-on piercing (that's not actually pierced,...

This one is a typical party problem: the fridge is full of drinks, and on the outside they are all cold. But in reality, some have only been placed in the fridge 20 minutes ago, and you don't really want to pick one of those where the drink inside is still fairly warm. The solution: put a temperature sensor on the can/bottle with a thin wire towards the middle of the beverage. It would work like the modern batteries which have a power sensor built in. Of course the material used for...

It happens to me fairly often that I want to cool down a can of beer quickly and put it in the freezer - but then forget about it. Next day, the can is burst open and the beer is frozen - and once your beer melts, it tastes flat and ugly. I've heard though that it's not the freezing process that causes the beer to go flat, but that the carbonation gets lost during thawing (when the can isn't airtight anymore). If true, a beer (de)compression chamber might be the answer - put the frozen...

I guess we all know that French Camembert goes well with red wine - but what kind of music should you play alongside? While Heavy Metal may be the wrong choice, Vivaldi could work better - but if you're not in the mood for classical music, what are your alternatives? It should be easy to add this feature to the existing music databases on the internet. When you pop your CD into the computer's player, it usually tells you which album you're listening to and what's the latest on the...

Recently I've been sitting under a tree with my laptop, and afterwards the screen had dozens of tiny, sticky drops on it that were hard to clean off. My idea is for cheap, disposable laptop foils that are transparent and can be put on the laptop's screen and keyboard as a temporary protection. Of course they shouldn't hinder functionality or visibility of the screen.

Did it ever happen to you that, on a hot day and/or your were working out hard, your sweat would run into your eyes and sting? Supposedly, the eyebrows are there to prevent that, but not always are they doing a very good job. Maybe it would be time to come with a man-made sweat-stopper, artificial eyebrows so to say. That may be something to stick onto your real eyebrows, or perhaps a device intergrated into sunglasses.

The concept of democracy is a great idea, but recent trends have shown that it is a vulnerable one, too. It seems that all a leader has to do is cut the education and social security budgets and create a large mass of people that are poor and illiterate. Spend all the money you didn't spend for the sake of the people to finance a huge propaganda campaign instead, and once you have brainwashed the gullible 51% with your "new world" views, it doesn't matter at all what the other 49% say. ...

Recently, we had a lot of snow over here, and after some sledging and snowball-fighting, we all sank back-first into a huge pile of fluffy snow. Sitting there was just incredibly comfortable - the snow compressed and adapted just perfectly to the back and the spine. I could have sat there for hours (except for the cold). This also reminded me of the way they make shoe lifts these days - you just step bare-footed into a box of soft foam, and a week later you have shoes that exactly fit...
