The privacy pop is a tent for a bed, providing a measure of privacy in shared sleeping quarters. The tent is easy to set up, and includes large entry openings on either side as well as window-like openings on both ends. It fits on standard and XL twin beds and is large enough for a full size adult to sit up inside, yet can also zip down to fit in a handy carrying case.

The idea is to use waste bins as mobile power sources, able to power household appliances or party starting speakers and amplifier. The bins will consist of a solar panel, car battery, and inverter. They will be lightweight and mobile, and can be adapted to a variety of uses, and could eventually be used to provide cellular charging stations or sell goods in rural areas.

Another idea is to create a skateboard with conical wheels, allowing skateboards to be more capable of carving into turns. The decks of such boards will be available in three styles, modeled after snowboards and long and short surfboards. The carving wheels will have the same diameter at their center as regular wheels, but they will narrow on the ends to enable to board to lean deeply into turns.

The idea is to create a unique snowboard by cutting the board in half, allowing each foot to have independent control and opening the door to an array of new tricks. The boards will be made of traditional snowboard materials, and will be used with current snowboard bindings. Such a snowboard will allow the user to have the fun of a snowboard and the mobility of skis, without locked feet and bulky poles.

The idea is to develop a new wireless braking system for bicycles. The system will consist of a pressure sensor and a sending unit mounted to the handlebar. Squeezing the handlebar grip will activate the sensor, which will send a wireless signal that will be relayed to the actuator, activating the disc brake. The brakes will grip more firmly the harder the sensor grip is squeezed.

A self cleaning cloth will be able to destroy bacteria and toxins when exposed to light, which could be used to make safer clothing for farmers and medical workers. The cloth could be developed by incorporating the unusual compound 2-anthraquinone carboxylic acid (2-AQC) into the fabric. The compound will bond to the cotton without changing its properties, and produce hydroxyl radicals and hydrogen peroxide when exposed to light, which instantly will kill bacteria and break down...

Old CD's can be put to a new use and turned into dumbbells, providing an incentive to workout while also reducing waste. The dumbbell kit will consist of a handle and two sets of dumbbell caps. The discs will slip onto a spool running through the center and attached to the handle, and the caps will close to keep them secure. Discs can be added up to a maximum weight of 5 pounds, including the 2.2 pound handle.

A new EEG smartphone app will let the user view a real time, 3D model of their brain wave activity directly on their phone. The system will consist of a wireless EEG Emotive EPOC headset and the application. The brain model will highlight in different colors when brainwaves are detected, and can be manipulated through the smartphone's touchscreen.

Inspired by the life vests used on airplanes, I suggest creating the world's first inflatable wetsuit. The wetsuit will inflate when the wearer pulls a cord that will cause a CO2 cartridge to inflate an air bladder located on the back of the suit.

The idea is to create a pair of eyeglasses that can display the subtitles for a movie, which could make movie-going much easier for the hard of hearing. The glasses are supposed to project the words in a way that mimics the effect of them being projected onto the screen. This will help to reduce eye fatigue. Besides allowing the hard of hearing to enjoy movies, the glasses could also be used to project the subtitles for foreign films, and can be adjusted so the words do not block...
