Lava rocks heat up quickly and evenly distribute heat, and are also already used in some gas grills and commercial grills to heat up the grease and meat drippings to create more flavor. The lava rocks are incorporated into a smaller grill that can be used on a conventional range. The lava rocks disperse the heat from the gas or electric stove, creating a genuine BBQ...

Using gold and silk it is possible to create edible indicators that will emit an electromagnetic signal when they sense food has gone bad. The sensors will be developed by embedding gold antenna in a film of purified silk substrate. The sensors will be able to detect the chemical change in spoiling food and send out an electromagnetic signal that can be read by an external reader. The sensors could be useful for managing prepared foods, providing more reliable spoilage...

If you like cheese you'll most probably like a sandwich made entirely from cheese. Slice a soft blue brie cheese. Cambozola will suit the needs. Then make slices of a hard cheese, the Swiss for example. Then you just need to mix them together like sandwiches. In the simplest case one slice of cambozolla and one slice of swiss. You can mix them with other kind of cheese. These sandwiches are good as snacks for wine, beer or just as they are. The "secret" here is to make a mix of very...
