Why not use ultrasound to help speed the recovery of broken bones by stimulating bone regeneration through cell vibration. The sound frequency and pulse rate of the ultrasound will be different than that used on pregnant women, but the technology will be the same. The transducer will get a coating of water based gel, and will be then slipped into a strap that will hold it on the break, stimulating cellular activity. The ultrasound therapy is supposed to lower recovery time by...

Why not develop a new high tech cast that will use electromyographic (EMG) sensors to monitor recovery by tracking muscle activity around the fracture in real time. The cast will be able to monitor the activity around the fracture and sync the data to a website, allowing the doctor to analyze the patient's progress, suggest exercises, and predict recovery time.

I want to create a new drug which may more effectively control chronic pain caused by nerve injuries. The drug will target specific parts of the brain and spinal cord associated with pain perception and block an enzyme known as type 1 adenylate cyclase (aka AC1), which is produced during nerve injury. Additionally, the drug is supposed to have a required dose at least 10-50 times lower than other drugs in the market.

The idea is to create a microchip to block delivery of pain messages to the brain. The chip will be imbedded in the body between the source of pain and the brain. It will be wired to a larger implanted device which will contain a battery and a computer processor. If the chip detects a pain signal headed to the brain, it will send out small 10-volt pulse to block the signal and relieve the user of the pain.

I just can't bear the view of my kid feeling such a pain while removing a bandage after one more injury. I wish there was a way to remove bandages and gypsums without pain and pulling hair. There could by some kind of organic spray to apply to the bandage and it would reduce the pain while its removing.

Wearing high heels for a long time can be a real trouble... sooner or later your feet start killing you. But you still wear these heels to look good. My idea is to create footwear with regular heels which can be easily unhooked so as to reverse your pair of shoes to cute flats.

1. Schedule an appointment with a dentist as soon as your toothache turns from twinge to pain. Most home toothache remedies are aimed at getting rid of toothache pain, not solving the problem at the root of the toothache. 2. Numb and soothe the pain of your toothache with gentle heat and cold. Hold a hot or cold pack, or ice cubes wrapped in a towel, to your jaw next to your aching tooth. Sip hot soup broth, hot tea, or eat some ice cream. If your toothache is sensitive to...

Sometimes you need to take an aspirin to stop a headache but you don't have any water or juice to do so. I suggest a chewing gum aspirin as a solution. By the way, any other medicine can be used for chewing gums as well. This seems to be a great solution for children.

If during a working day some event or an unpleasant conversation unsettles you, if you become nervous and cannot ignore or change the situation and relax, you can try to do these simple exercises. They can help you to get rid of the tension and restore performance. Sitting on a chair, take the seat with both hands and stretch yourself upwards. Count to six, lower the hands and relax. Join hands behind your head and put pressure on your neck trying to resist it. Sit on...
