The idea is to create vibrating belts which will make it possible for soldiers to follow directions and find their way through the darkness. The belt will contain eight mini actuators that will represent the eight cardinal directions. A GPS system, compass, and accelerometer will be able to track the direction a soldier moves, and provide a gentle, vibratory nudge to help keep him on the correct path.

I have written a true untold historical story that has been a family secret for nearly 85 years. Years ago my great aunt was out looking for a job and walked into the office building of a famous man by the name of DC Stepheson and was hired on as his personal secretary. She knew nothing about him or his business but over time she figured it out and on the same day of his incarceration she took and hid his busness ledgers. The following day the FBI raided his office and did not find what they...

I wish we had a single web site with primary goal to help homeless people. The site would contain the full list of organizations helping such people, products and other stuff required to be donated. They could even have volunteers to come to your house and take things you wanted to donate. This would definitely make it easier for other people to contribute to charity as the majority simply didn't know where to go / what to donate / who to contact and so on.

Years ago my great aunt took a job working for a famous man by the name of DC Stephenson back in the late 1920's as his personal secretary which she knew nothing about him or his business but over time she figured it out and on the same day of his incarceration she took and hid his business ledgers and the following day the FBI raided his office and did not find what they were looking for. People back then dug up 200 holes on my grandfathers farm looking for those ledgers back then. My story...

My idea is to involve homeless people in city sightseeing tours. Who knows the city and its places to visit better than homeless people do? This seems to be beneficial for both tourists and homeless people: the first can learn interesting facts about the places they visit; the second receive an opportunity to earn a little money and communicate with people.

The concept of democracy is a great idea, but recent trends have shown that it is a vulnerable one, too. It seems that all a leader has to do is cut the education and social security budgets and create a large mass of people that are poor and illiterate. Spend all the money you didn't spend for the sake of the people to finance a huge propaganda campaign instead, and once you have brainwashed the gullible 51% with your "new world" views, it doesn't matter at all what the other 49% say. ...

As shown by ancient Greek and Roman writers such as Polybius, and the American Founding Fathers in the Federalist Papers, historically the most stable forms of government have featured a strong executive, provided stability for the elite, and functions to serve the masses. The best way to do this would be to randomly select a "House of Representatives" from a pool of ANYONE who wanted the job, and to sell the seats in the "Elite Senate" to the highest bidders, NO MATTER who they are or...

Why have a house and senate? Suppose legislation was to be brought to the voting public instead of debated and voted on in the house and senate. With the internet being what it is today, why do we need elected representatives to vote on laws on our behalf when we now have a level of technology that can enable us to vote for ourselves? Maybe a certain day of every month could be devised to vote on, like for example the second Thursdays of every month. Legislators could make the bills to be...
