I've already posted the idea with several simple press designs. They are all easy to be created but have one main disadvantage: they can be used only with flat materials such as books. But what are you supposed to do if you have to stick a piece of plywood on a curved surface? I suggest you using a simple bag of sand as a press. And also do not forget to put a paper insert between the plywood and a bag.

Even in perfectly clean apartment with a daily wet cleaning and airing we still suffocate and feel that we do not have that pure air. Why is this happening? There are particles in the air which are called air ions, positively and negatively charged. They are ranked as light, medium, and heavy. The...

Why not design a microwave that can fit in a space the size of a drawer? The drawer sized microwave will use an aluminum blade to replace the microwave's rotating dish, and the hollow, stainless steel door will hold the electronics. A magnetic switch will turn the microwave off instantly and prevent accidental opening. The microwave will be controlled by a capacitive touch screen on borosilicate glass.

The light is activated by holding the power button down for 2 seconds, purifying the water in one minute as the user rotates the bottle. An LCD screen keeps track of the cycle and signals when the process is complete, and the rechargeable battery will last for about 80 cycles.

A new password system based on eye motion could one day lead to a secure security system that can be accessed with only a look. The system will be based upon the idea that no two people trace a path with their eyes in exactly the same way. By recording eye motions, the system will be able to analyze two features: fixation--when the eyes linger on an aspect of the screen, and saccades--the quick movements of the eye as it shifts between points. This information will be compared to...

If you do not close the tin tightly, a thick layer of dry film appears on the paint surface or even all the paint hardens. To prevent this you should close the tin as tightly as possible. Then turn the tin upside down, leave it in that position for a moment and turns back. During this time, the paint will fill all the air gaps and provide a complete sealing.

* How to remove wax from solid surfaces. If the wax is allowed to cool completely, and if the surface isn't too porous, it will separate easily from a solid surface. Use a flat, prying device to work your way under the wax. Be careful so as not to damage the surface you are trying to clean. Some candle waxes contain oils and pigments that might leave a stain on a surface like wood. In those cases, place a folded paper towel over the stain and apply a steady heat, like that...
