The idea is to create a USB charging device that will flip open to draw power from electrical outlets already fully occupied. The device will open to extend a flat conductive "power tab", which will work via its two holes. The prongs of one of the plugs that will be occupying the outlet will be run through the holes and then plugged back into the outlet. My idea is to use piezoelectricity to generate energy. Piezoelectricity is the charge that accumulates in response to applied mechanical strain, such as the vibrations of vehicles driving on roads. The piezoelectric sensors are inexpensive and can be installed during regular repaving. When utilized on a single lane, two mile stretch of road, the sensors could produce up to 44 megawatts of electricity each year, which is enough to power 30,800 homes for a year.

Oil lamps are still widely used in spite of the fact that they are toxic and not environmentally safe. My idea is to use solar lamps instead of oil lamps. Solar lamps work 6 hours and above; they are available for all people who don't have reliable source of electricity. Solar lamps have changeable solar batteries which are environment-friendly as they are recyclable. Lamps have brightness regulator, they are water- and heat-resistant and can even be used below -4 °F and above 131°F.
