Why not develop a liquid-flow battery that can be used with electric vehicles, enabling them to be recharged as quickly as pumping gas and cutting the cost of current batteries in half? The batteries will consist of a liquid electrolyte semi-solid that will contain the electrodes to provide electricity. Once the energy from the electrolyte material is depleted, it can be removed from the battery and replaced with a fully charged amount. The depleted electrolyte material will be...

the average coffee pot uses more energy than a space heater, especially commercial versions. there are roughly 320million personal java brewers in the U.S. alone, not including the estimated 260 million commercial versions. take that times an average of 1,500 watts each....sounds like a good start to eliminating wasted energy. with advances in science and technology, theres every oppertunity to brew a hot cup of java for less, using atleast half the energy consumed today. i...

I just remember my father being in the hospital very sick, and after being in the bed for so long and shifting... or not shifting he would end up moving down where his feet would almost be at the bottom of his bed. We had to call the nurse or nurses aid to pull him up in his bed since he was too sick and weak to push himself up in bed. Every time my dad went to the bathroom we had to get someone to help adjust him back in his bad. This was also the case for my husbands grandma when she was...

Bicycle lights that are built into the handlebars. You could press a button on the handlebars on either side and the end of the handle bar would flash and maybe one side of the back of the seat or somewhere else would light up. It could be a safety benefit and give you the ability to see where you were going at night as well.

When you play golf, it can become tiresome to bend over 18 times a game to retrieve your golf ball from the cup. Here is my idea: The cup could have a small air cartridge inside that is activated by a small hand held device the players have and could only be triggered from a five foot radius. The air cartridge would only have sufficient air to launch the golf ball three feet into the air and then the golfer then can retrieve his/her golf ball from midair instead of bending over 18 times a...

There must be a way of utilising body heat when in bed. Either by a heat absorbing sheet you sleep on or something in your duvet. Then this heat energy can be converted in to electricity, to turn your lamp on or something? Does body heat produce enough energy?

In the spirit of thinking green, I have been thinking of an invention to reuse vehicle emissions. As you can tell from the title, this invention implements a vehicle's tire along with the emissions. Lets start at the end, the tailpipe would be capped with a tube/hose to collect the toxic fumes via a pump to extract the gases which would be collected in some type of container. The container would have to have a one-way entry valve so the gases can't escape. At the same time, a pressure...

I would like a key board that I can type in while I slouch with my feet up, get really awfully comfortable. I don't like good posture. I'd like a keyboard that is split in two seperate pieces, like two paddles and it has velcro straps so that I can attach it to my knees. Try it, lean way back in your chair, put your feet up on the desk. Can't you just see typing on your knees? I think I'd be a much faster at it this way. I'd probably also be a cripple in twenty years because of it. I still...
