A new airbag system for skiers will protect the wearer from falls on hard snow at high speeds. The airbag system will feature an array of accelerometers and sensors will detect when the skier is falling and trigger the inflation mechanism. A CO2 canister inflated the bags within 100 milliseconds, protecting the skier's chest, neck and back. The system could also be made customizable, allowing the user to choose additional airbags, such as ones for the waist or hips.

The new pod makes catching big waves easier, adding a bit of thrust to allow the surfers to reach big waves without the need for a tow. The device is designed to fit on a variety of boards, including surfboards and rescue boards. It fits flat against the underside of the board and relies on a pair of aluminum impellers to provide up to 20 lbs of thrust and 12 mph of speed. The surfer controls the device through a wireless wrist worn remote control, and the rechargeable battery...

Another idea is to create a skateboard with conical wheels, allowing skateboards to be more capable of carving into turns. The decks of such boards will be available in three styles, modeled after snowboards and long and short surfboards. The carving wheels will have the same diameter at their center as regular wheels, but they will narrow on the ends to enable to board to lean deeply into turns.

I'm not really sure if it is possible to make my idea come true but here it is... I want to provide skiers and snowboarders with avalanche survival devices to put to their backpacks. In case of an avalanche a sensor built-in the device will trigger the system and a mask will pop out to fit a face. As soon as the avalanche hits a person, a small vacuum pump will suck snow into the canister, melt it, and split the water made from the melted snow into oxygen and hydrogen. The...
