A new laser technique will be able to make speaker sound 'visible', making it easier to track and eliminate audio dead spots. The new laser light method will involve placing a laser to the side of the test speaker and scanning its beam through various points in front of the speaker. The beams will be reflected to a vibrometer receiver, which will then build images of the sound waves and locate the dead spots.

If you can't hear well or hardly at all then placing a set of head phones over hearing aids doesn't work. Either you can't understand it at all or you hear nothing but distortion and definitely not quality stereo. If we made hearing aides that had wires (or wireless transmission) to directly plug into all audio equipment then the hearing impaired could have a great full stereo sound and quality for their hearing enjoyment. Since you can't simply place head phones over hearing aids then you...

I am a guitar player, and i always get tired from playing, and sometimes I touch a cord that I shouldn't touch when I am playing on the other. I think that a mechanical system could be added to the electric or accoustic guitar that resembles the piano keys, so when u press on the key the cord will vibrate.

I am deaf in one ear, and I also know many other people who are either deaf or nearly deaf in one ear. For decades I have been frustrated at listening to music through headphones (and now earbuds) and only being able to hear part of the music. Reformatting music into mono doesn't help because the sound quality goes way down. I think it is simple and easy for someone to develop a single earbud and connects both stereo streams of music into the single bud. This would allow all those, like...

I am doing a research on associations between sound and imagery and thinking of doing a painting that changes its graphic/image/collage according to music that it is introduced to. Not to be confused with sonique visualisations, this product will react fairly accurately and logical, according to synaesthetic-based researches and associations. Would you buy this idea/painting? Would love to see one in my living room

Microphones that look like everything from expensive professional golf club driver heads to Disney characters. Anything that might peak the interest of a mic user in karaoke in public or whereever a mic might be used. There are some rock bands like "Korn" and "Manson" that have unique mics but they are stage props and are made to be used solely on stage. They are also basically holders for a normal mic.

I don't know about other countries but when I tune into radio on my digital TV I just get a blank blue screen, wouldn't it be a good idea for the station provider to make their digital service more interactive by displaying information about the music playing, they could run competitions or advertisments anything really to take the blue screen away! I know radio is for listening to but if I sit in my living room and try to listen the screen seems to draw me back to looking at it!

Basically a CD player. Let's say you want to play the guitar part on a cd. You would stick it into the CD Blanketer and press the buttons for the drums, vocal, and keyboard until they are turned off. Then all you would have playing is the guitar part.
