My idea is to create a sleeping mask which not only blocks out the light but also wakes the wearer with a programmable sunrise. Sounds really cool :) An LED substrate sewn into the inside of the mask will make the magic happen. It will begin its glow about a half hour before the user chosen waking time.

Why not develop a new lithium-ion battery able to store more energy than its predecessors without overheating? The battery will use a graphite current collector and imide salt in the electrolyte of the battery, which will increase the life of the battery as well as allowing it to withstand high temperatures. The battery will have an energy density of 225 watt hours per kilogram; 50 percent higher than the lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles.

A lot of times, we are stuck out in public without our phone chargers handy. This leaves us vulnerable especially when we need to make an important call. This idea about a twirling battery is really cool. The concept is to simply twirl the cell phone battery around a finger a few times for a quick bit of juice to send a text or make a call. 130 twirls will give you approximately two minutes of talking time. The same idea could also be applied to batteries for other devices.

The idea is to create a fingerprint scanner able to tell the difference between living and dead tissue, preventing the use of a severed digit being used to foil fingerprint scanning devices. Fingerprint scanner able to identify dead tissue The scanner will work by reading the difference in the amount of light absorbed by living tissue versus dead tissue. The amount of light absorbed by a living finger will vary, changing from 550 nanometers when it is first placed on the sensor...

I am sure that those people, who are always losing their keys, will find this idea interesting. It would be awesome to have a fingerprint scanner right on a doorknob where a key hole was. You'd need to register your fingerprint on a microcomputer and then you would lock / unlock the door just putting your finger on the scanner.

The idea is to create a new device which will be small enough to be injected into the eye, where it will be maneuvered to deliver drugs more effectively. The device will be controlled electro-magnetically to the desired location of the eye, where it will then deliver a capsule of medication or remain in place for a long period of time, delivering prolonged treatment. It can then be removed from the eye with a magnetic needle. Such a delivery system could be particularly...

Technologies are constantly developing and becoming cheaper. They make our life more comfortable and joyful. A virtual window in a wall is a great example of such development. It can display any dynamic pictures you like: from the magnificent scenery to the life in the deep sea or the view from the orbital station window. Winscape virtual window provides the effect of presence in front of the real window. The view from the window changes depending on the position of the...

Doorbells for the deaf have been already invented. They usually have a light that flashes brightly instead of playing a tune. What about deaf people who are blind as well... I suggest creating a device which, when activated, uses the only reliable sense left - other than smell and taste - touch. For ex., there can be a vibrating motor in the person's pocket.
