I'm sick and tired of the fact that I spend so much time looking for a parking place. My idea is to create a system that will help people to find places for their cars to park. The system will consist of wireless detecting devices placed on the territory of a car park that will check parking places availability and send the information to a single control centre. Then this information will be displayed on information panels or sent to some kind of navigation gadget (similar to a...

It seams obvious that the most serious traffic accidents happen at the highest speeds. The idea set forth in this post can be modified for town driving, with increased technology, but I figure I will list what can happen "today" on the highways and freeways. I have commuted for many years in bumper to bumper traffic. Usually 1.5-2 hours a day. I often wondered if there is an apparatus that can be connected to the back and front frames of cars so that they can connect and disconnect...

I called it the Creative Minds X1 and started designing it using a computer 3D Design Tool. The original idea was for an ultra light aircraft powered by a very small and relatively cheap engine such as a motorcycle engine or (as many suggested) a big chainsaw engine. I wanted the wings to be foldable/detachable so that it could fit onto a large trailer. I wanted the bodywork to be made mostly of moulded plastics, this turned out to be an extreamly expensive task. Sheet aluminium...

It looks like someone has a similar idea but, i was watching QVC where they had portable jump start batteries for sale. Well my idea is to have a permanent back-up battery built in your car. When your car is running, excess electricity can be sent to it, if needed to keep it charged via a relay. But when the car is off the battery will be disconnected from the car. Then one night you leave your lights on and kill your battery, you simply flick a switch and start your car using the...

A device that would retro-fit onto the front wheel wells of cars and trucks that would hold a small container of sand which could be activated during icy road conditions when brakes are applied. The sand would disperse in front of the tire allowing for better traction. This device would also assist in sanding roads for motorists without the device. Purdy easy to do n' might just save a few fender benders.

Speed bumps that are filled with water, made of rubber so if you drive slow the water has time to move to other places than under your tires. But if you drive fast you will feel the bump.

I know that in every car there is a center console and it's useful for small storage. Well, I think we all would like a safe place to put our important things, especially for the majority of us who drive and for those who travel. I think of the center console as a safe, so why not build it to make it more secure? Have an alarm to lock it in it's place so that no one can break into it. Of course, the car would have to be some what computerized. Also, there should be an alarm for the car to...

How about putting a chain for locking up your bike inside the bike's frame so when you need it, you can just pull it out?

Aircraft safety is now a big issue. Hundreds of lives can be lost at one time due to small mistakes or failures. If the plane is inevitabaly going to crash and there is no way to stop it, at present the only thing to do is to sit tight and hope you survive. My idea is as follows: There is a device (a larger version of a pilot ejection seat) that blasts the whole passenger compartment away from the wings and engines. The rocket propellors are situated at the front and the back of the...
