Gold to detect tumor cells

    I have an idea to use gold nanoparticles to monitor the bloodstream to find tumor cells that remain after treatment.
    Polymer coated particles linked to a growth factor peptide instead of an antibody can detect and tag circulating tumor cells in the blood. The tagged tumor cells can then be revealed through laser illumination.
