Monitoring fetal health in remote areas could become easier with a portable and inexpensive wireless fetal monitor. The device will able to measure fetal heart rate and the force of contractions, and process the information with a Bluetooth transmitter and a smart phone device with custom software. The new wireless aspect will eliminate the need for the large bedside date processing machine. The device could be used to monitor pregnant women in rural locations.

The new bottle is supposed to encourage environmental awareness by allowing the user to keep track of how many plastic bottles they have saved from the landfill.
