Take your bike lane with you with a new safety light system, which creates an instant bike lane lined with highly visible red lights. The system features two red lasers mounted on a flashing safety light of five red LEDs. The lasers are angled downward to create a bright bike lane around the rider that is visible from a mile away, even if the area is also lit by streetlights. A pair of AAA batteries power the device, and a polycarbonate cover protects the device from weather and...

I wish I had some kind of an insulin doser inserted in my leg. The doser would check constantly my blood and deliver the right amount of insulin when needed. I would be able to recharge the doser with an injection to it. Such a device can definitely be used for almost any medicament.

Why not develop wave barriers that allow true one way sound and light proofing. The idea involves the use of nonlinear materials that only allow waves to pass through from one direction. Nonlinear materials respond to the attributes of the waves, and stacking these materials in specific arrangements should allow waves from one direction to pass through while blocking waves from other directions. The idea remains theoretical, and no true one way material have been produced...

Weed killing will go high-tech and less toxic with smart lasers able to recognize, and destroy, unwanted weeds. The method will use cameras and a computer algorithm to distinguish the weeds from more desirable plants. Once the weeds are recognized the CO2 lasers will deliver a carefully measured beam directly to the weakest point of the weed. The energy levels of the beams will be exact, because a beam that is too weak will actually encourage the weed to grow.

The Paperphone would perform most of the tasks of a typical smartphone with one important difference- it would flexible, and could be interacted with through bending actions. The new 'paper computer' would use a thin film E-Ink display on top of a flexible printed circuit with sensors that would enable it to recognize different bending gestures. Bending a corner would turn the page, and squeezing it into a concave shape would activate the phone systems. A built in Wacom tablet...

The idea is to design shoes that will use haptic feedback and Google Maps to guide the visually impaired to their destination. The shoes will be intended to guide the user to specific destinations through vibrations on different areas of the shoe. The user will enter their destination on Google Maps with special application enabled smartphone, which will communicate with the circuit board in the heel of the shoe. By following Google's turn-by-turn directions, the vibrators will...

A new LED technology will be paired with a smart phone app to help customers find specific items while shopping. The technology will involve the use of radio frequency tags that will be applied to the merchandise. Upon entering the store, the customer will use a public computer or their own smart phone to pinpoint the location of the object, which the system will able to determine by reading the flicker rate of the overhead LED lights. This flicker system will allow the tags...

The kinetic charger will turn mechanical movement into electricity, letting you power your phone by taking a walk. The device will feature a microfluidic device that will move nano-droplets of liquid through channels embedded in a thin film, which will produce an electric current. It will clip to a belt or pocket where it will harness the motion of the wearer to generate and store up to 4 watts of energy, and connecting the devices together will increase the charging capacity.

I'm such a forgetful person... I try to write down things and ideas (whatever I am thinking about, and don't want to forget) if they seem to be important. My idea is that it would be really nice to have a water proof notepad so as it is possible to make notes in the shower.

Why not give a possibility to users to re-arrange the keyboard to suit their needs at the time? The user could change the color of the keys, placement of the keys, and even which keys are to be displayed on the keyboard, according to need. Different language layouts or optimization for left or right handed users could also be chosen.
