The environmentally friendly bandage will use nanobubbles to attack the protective surface of fungi and bacteria. The nanobubbles, which function similar to oil droplets, will operate in conjunction with a particular blend of polysaccharides, damaging the microbes' cell walls and causing them to dehydrate and die. The polysaccharides are less toxic and less expensive than the antibiotics and silver used in current germ fighting bandages.

The new computer monitor will keep a 'eye' on the user, providing feedback to encourage better ergonomics. The monitor will keep track of the user's posture and distance from the monitor, as well how long it has been since the user's last break, and will send alerts through small icons at the bottom of the screen. It will also turn off the monitor if it senses the user is not present, cutting energy consumption by up to 80%.

The new faucet system will not begin to pour until the water reaches the desired temperature, reducing the amount of water lost while waiting for the water to warm up or cool down. The system will feature a thermostat and a spring inside a cartridge. Depressing the tap will cause the spring to shut off the water flow to the faucet and divert it to a tank for later use while the thermostat will measure the temperature of the incoming water. Once the water has reached the proper...

So, this is for all the modern, edgy, punk youth out there. Or possibly weird, zany, old people. Basically, it's just coloring highlighter on your eyelids as eyeshadow. It's very cool. It brings out the color of your eye with he contrast. I tried it on my friend, and the only advise I can give you, if you try it, is to avoid rubbing it in your eyes! If I were to ever make this idea into something, I would start by calling it EyeLighter. Get it, the play on words... Anyway, then of...

I suppose that microscopic worms could do a better job of detecting explosives than X-ray machines, metal detectors or bomb sniffing dogs. The tiny nematodes, known as Caenorhabditis elegans, have little scent organs on the sides of their mouths. Why not extract the receptors from the amphids and incorporate them into a device (so called bomb sniffing machine).

To drill a hole in the glass seems to be the problem without solution. But the solution does exist and it is quite simple. You just need some turpentine. Drop a couple of drops of turpentine on the glass. Use putty or ordinary plasticine for a border to prevent the liquid from spreading. Then begin to drill on low speed adding some more turpentine if needed. And remember that the drill should be sharp.
