This is yet another search solution for things you may lose within you own four walls - but with a new twist. Remember those key pendandts that made sound when you whistle? Something like that for finding small objects like phone or remotes. There would be one base unit (appliance). You could change frequency on it (135, 136,137 ...) with simple + - buttons. When click on send it would transmit that frequency in small area. Enough for house or flat. Each small object would come...

At 8 am someone is ringing at your door, for half an hour. Enough to wake you up, but not enough for you to get up. If only there was a button marked "Press here to leave message". After pressing it, the message would be videotaped (or audio recorded only in cheaper version). You could find out who it was and what he or she wanted. Based on a true story

With Carpet Hooks, you can hook into the natural under-laying structure of any carpet. All carpets have fairly large, plastic, squares that the carpet is woven into. If you utilize this under-laying to adhere anything to it, it will never tip over or come out unless you want it too. The hooks are not sharp and they just go into the holes in the under side of the carpet doing no damage to the carpet at all and you can use them for anything from delicate furniture to punching bags or...

Have an entire wall or room look three-dimensional with Magic Eye wallpaper or murals. Either see designs, shapes, colors, objects, people or what ever. A whole theme or just the same thing over and over again like in the books. How about seeing a seven foot unicorn in 3-D on your wall. Or one of a child's dreams like Pooh Bear just before sleep. Really could help them relax. Most people can see them naturally or can see them with very little training. Personally I thought it was amazing...

Hot water pumped through radiators is how many houses are heated, right? The water is heated in a boiler using electric or gas burners.... Well how about heating the water using microwave... if it's cheaper to heat a cup of water in a kitchen microwave oven, rather than on a gas or electric stove, then surely it's cheaper to heat the house boiler with a specialy designed microwave thing.

After replacing the windows in the house I rent out for the 2nd time, it occurred to me that there is really no longer a need for the windows to be there. With the modern technology we possess today, we could devise a flat screen video projector for the inside of the house, a mini-camera (weather-proof of course), for the outside, and a small central computer processor to organize it all. In this way you could control what images you see when you are sitting in a room, or entertaining. ...

My idea is a mini version of scissors-lift work platforms that construction and maintenance people use to work up high. The difference is that it of fixed height. It could be about 3 feet by 2.5 feet by about 2 feet high with 2 integrated steps to get up to working height which by the way should have a guard rail at least on three sides. Of course it is on wheels to make it easy to move but the wheels must be easily locked for safety. Collapsibility for storage would be an asset. Great for...

Building a house in the desert with very little material. Basically instead of building the house, dig it up. Add on some self tainting glass roof to benefit from all the sun light, a couple of solar panels in the 'underground' garden, which is obviously at the same level as your house (i.e. underground) and some system to recycle water for a month or so, while waiting for the next delivery by truck. Would be great in Algeria where there is over 2 million squares kilometers of desert...
