To decrease costs of resurfacing a road and reduce amount of asphalt used. The idea would be to design a paving machine which uses microwaves to heat up old asphalt on the road and enabling it to be picked up easily. The machine would then remix the asphalt to the proper ratio by adding extra asphalt tar and then resurface the road all in a single operation with the same machine. This machine would eliminate the system used presently whereby pavement is stripped, new pavement is brought in...

As we know, about 25000 people were killed in building fire in the world every year.Though firefighters are working so hard, death is still going on in building fire. Why are there always so many dead? Because, so far there are not any professional self-rescue instruments provided for the people. So when people are trapped in building fire, the only thing that they can do is just waiting for the firefighters` rescue. However, sometimes death always comes before rescue. If there is a...

Ever woke up late because the beeping noise didn't wake you up? Well, with the alarm spray - when it is time to wake up - it will beep AND spray mist. This way you will have a better chance of waking up at the desired time.

My idea is to insert magnets into the bumpers (front, back, side and rear) of cars. This, if developed properly, could prevent all vehicular accidents. I'm not sure if it's feasible, but I really want to know about the possibilities. Any information would be great.

I can't even guess why I have never seen this next idea anywhere. I think it would be a great idea to install "wet nap" dispensers in all public restrooms right by the exit door. The design of it can vary from individually wrapped wet naps to a pop-up dispenser, similar to how a tissue box works. You can grab one on your way out and clean your hands off after you wrap your freshly washed hads around the germ ridden door handle. Or even use it to grab the door handle. Imagine the...

I wish to have a bank ATM card that can handle simultaneously all my bank accounts maintained with several banks. A single ATM card would be issued by one of my bankers and I would have the facility to register all my other bank accounts maintained with other banks, with that single ATM card. This would reduce the hassle of holding a bunch of ATM cards in your pocket and to memorize too many PINs. The same thing can be done with Credit Cards as well. This will also reduce the hassle...

Have you ever played in the sun with a magnifying glass? Even the smallest ones can burn wood, or set grass on fire. So, why can't we build a manifying glass array, point that sun heat towards a steam turbine and produce electricity? Steam turbines are readily available as are the generators they drive. The major engineering would be setting up the glass array and building a solar tracking system to keep it aligned at the correct angle to the sun.

This will not actually decrease your weight with our current understanding of the atom and electrons and such... but if it were possible to have powerful opposite magnets within the soles of our shoes, it would make walking a new sensation

This is a fairly simple idea for children at an age when they appreciate rattles. The toy would have two parts: a cyllindrically spiral track about a foot long and an inch or two wide; and a moving piece that is also cyllindrically spiral that would fit over the track and be able to slide along it, rotating as it does so. The moving piece would slide down the track through gravity. The track could then be inverted to get the piece to move again. Various color patterns and noise making...
