We've invented vacuums for dirt on the ground, why not for our air? We have the technology to compress oxygen, why not our pollution? I doubt there is any use for the brown cloud of dirt that lingers on top of cities, so my idea is to suck it up like you would oxygen and either store the containers some where, or launch them into space on the next expedition. As another, very expensive and expansive idea, we can create a huge (I don't use that word lightly) funnel-like tube, resistant...

My idea is to insert magnets into the bumpers (front, back, side and rear) of cars. This, if developed properly, could prevent all vehicular accidents. I'm not sure if it's feasible, but I really want to know about the possibilities. Any information would be great.

An interface allowing people to find many others who are lookalikes (or nearly lookalikes) of themselves, and then enable them to compare notes with each other re: possible shared tendencies/tastebuds/etc. It could enable people to upload images of themselves whereupon a 'Face Recognition Bot' would guide them in dragging their JPEG to an area of other JPEGs most closely matching their image in an array. A numeric equivalent to such an array is: 11 12 22 23 33 34 44 45 55 56 66 67...

Three-Part Idea for Inventions by Lisa Renee Kopp My ideas for a three-part invention which would prove very useful to people, both individuals and groups, are as follows: Part I - Use the technology used to invent microfilm to create a widely used product where people can make copies of records (and anything else that currently comes on paper). Part II - Invent a machine where people can make copies of things already on paper and put them on a microfilm-like substance. This...

Having recently spent a bunch of time in some of the world's hottest deserts, I wonder why no one has marketed a portable solar umbrella hooked up to a drinks cooler, or small cooling fan, or one of them electric cooling collar contraptions. Googling for 'solar umbrella' points to large unwieldy umbrellas good for patios and backyards - hardly convenient for hauling around. Making these should be a no-brainer. You'd have to fix flexible solar panels on top of a folding umbrella, and...

A see-saw that has some type of electronically driven hydraulic system or something that evens the weight out for both riders- so that, say, a 50 lb rider on one side and a 150 lbs rider on the other would be "leveled-out" as if they were the same weight. Then kids could seesaw with their parents- or their fat friends!

This chair could be used on the beach or when taking a sun-bath. The initial position (angle) could be set, and then it changes automatically, according to the intensity of the sunrays and the body position.

Just like the head-light, it is really good that the horn of a car emits from the front, not side-ways. But I got this idea when I saw a driver who became obstructed by a girl, reversing from a bay. He honked the horn repeatedly but couldn't get the attention of the girl, so he intentionally "kissed" her with the rear bumber. Until he did that, the teen-aged girl never knew what the car horn from a seemingly distanced position ment. It's really good that a car horn emits from the...
