The track for the skateboard would be a single rail track on ground level, built in sections and fastened to the ground over a sloping terrain. The rail would be hollow consisting of a chamber to house both wheels of a skateboard. The skateboard would consist of a typical platform for the rider and have a single wheel fore and aft. The skateboard would essentially be locked onto the track, yet freely move at potentially high speeds- depending on the length and slope of the track. We're...

This idea is for a steel torsion spring powered 'ballista' (ancient roman war machine that resembles a crossbow) which fires ballbearings. It could be used for hunting and with such durable ammunition it would be more economical than bows and arrows or firearms. Also would be great fun to shoot at gongs!

Alot of people these days back pack all over the world and tons of people join camping expeditions and challenges such as eco challenge which require you to carry your ten tonned bag pack all over the country. This can be energy comsuming. Here's an idea i thought about. Attach a mini helium baloon on the top of the bag pack. The force of the baloon going upwards will help lighten the weight of the bag pack. The bigger the baloon, the more weight it will take off. Only problem is...

Here in the US before football (not soccer) games, people "tailgate". It's basically barbecuing and drinking in the parking lot of the stadium. People generally bring all of their gear with them. My idea would be to design tailgating oases, where this activity would be encouraged. I imagine an area approximately 30 feet by 40 feet with a couple of trees/landscaping a barbecue grill, tap water, a picnic bench, a coin operated electrical outlet (for music) for each tailgating oasis. These...

This sport consists of 2-4 people. You must play it at the time in the year where there is still snow on the ground yet it is nice enough for you to bike. The object of this game is to hit the person on the bike with a snowball just as he zooms by you as fast as he can go. The biker is only wearing shorts and a t-shirt so he really doesn't want to get hit. 100 points if you hit the head, 50 for the bare arm, 50 for bare leg, anywhere on the bike is 25 points, and anywhere else is 10...

Have you seen the diabetic PDA machine that measures the amount of insulin in the blood by a body suction cap thingi. I think a derivitive of that machine that could measure the amount of vitamins and minerals in your blood and say if you've have an overdose of vitamin C or you need more vitamin C today. This would help anemic people and everybody in general keep track on what they're eating and what they need to be eating. How do we know if we got the right doses of vitamins and...

A golf ball with a transmitter and a device that clips to your belt. This works very much like a global positioning system which allows you to locate your ball after hitting it and also reads the distance of your drive.

I have an Idea for an extreme snow scooter. It would be kinda like a razor scooter but instead of haveing wheels it has to skiis. On to steer with and on to ballance on underneath the platform wich you stand on. I think it could sell for $150 and they would be really popular with the kids. I think it could be a new extreme sport like snowboarding.

I myself am not too crazy about this idea (this is my first post), I have noticed that some of my friends have been falling off their skatebaords when the roads are a little rough under their feet. So if there was a little pad that attached or clipped to the board that was connected to a strong little fan, they could press down on the pad, and the harder they would push down, the stronger the fan blew. Causing the user to have a safer, (maybe) smoother ride.
