Recently I've been sitting under a tree with my laptop, and afterwards the screen had dozens of tiny, sticky drops on it that were hard to clean off. My idea is for cheap, disposable laptop foils that are transparent and can be put on the laptop's screen and keyboard as a temporary protection. Of course they shouldn't hinder functionality or visibility of the screen.

When I write my email, I'm sometimes REALLY absent-minded. One of the worst mistakes I sometimes make is sending mails to the wrong people. This problem could be solved by an intelligent email client that does some basic checking and then outputs an appropriate error message (e.g. "Are you sure you want to be so rude to your GRANDMOTHER?" - "Do you really want to send this business letter to yourself?" etc. etc.) With 20-30% of the internet population ignoring unpleasant emails, I...

We transmit millions of Videos for all kinds of purposes everyday from family, Web Seminars, YouTube type sites and just about 90 percent of the sites. If we could copy and paste the Audio code seperate from the Video and have Software to Alter the Extension then we could Burn a CD or Place the Audio from the Site's Video into our IPod like devices for enjoyment or study on the go!

Nowadays laptop computer screens, even the ones intended for use in the office, are coming in widescreen. I think it would be useful if these screens could be tilted vertically like for editing text documents. Widescreens come at a ratio of 16:9=1.77. A standard letter page is in a ratio of 11:8.5=1.29 so the length of a letter would fit nicely if put at the width of a page. Anyway, it's an idea.

If you pay off your credit card, using automatic debits from your bank account, there is usually a specific day when the balance is paid in full. Instead of that system, this software would pay the balance off in increments during the course of the month so that by the due date, the entire balance has been paid. The advantage would be that the software monitors the current cash exchange rate, so that when you could gain more interest by leaving the money in your bank account, it would pay...

A simple webapplication that interfaces with iTunes to control the following through a web interface: 1. Control the volume 2. Skip tracks 3. Select an available playlist 3a. Select playlist should be used by "Party Shuffle" I know this may/may not have limited use, but I use iTunes to play music for any parties that I host. The system serving up the music is inside downstairs and the music is playing outside. I'd like to be able to use my Audrey to access this system, which is...

1. The Problem - If you want to buy an item, which is offered several times in (internet-)auctions and you want to pay a finite maximum price, then you have to bid for each offer separately until you suceed buying at your maximum price or lower. This is unpleasant. 2. The Solution - Order the auctions you are interested in in a list I (the auction, that will finish soonest, first) and mark some maximum price p_I for the list. Now an (computerized) agent might bid for the first item on...

So after Stig returned from Iceland, he thought it would be kind of cool to put up one of those big maps with pins in all the places he had been (he traveled via Panama City and Osaka). Unfortunately, Stig doesn't have any free wall space. After we argued for a bit about whether he should take down his ancient Def Leppard poster, we agreed that being able to do this on a computer would save a lot of space. There are plenty of map programs, but are there any that allow you to insert...
