Most people know how to play one common instrument - the human voice. Imagine software that could convert a person's whistling or humming into MIDI format (or something similar) - recording the pitch, duration, volume, and decay. Once in a format like MIDI, it can be interchanged with a wide range of virtual instruments, allowing you to command an orchestra without ever having to learn how to play a MIDI keyboard.

I propose that the start-up sound of your PC be changed or at least cofigurable to play spoken word definitions. This allows the average person to increase their vocab everyday, when they turn on their computer each morning at work, effortlessly and unconciously.

Hi, here in Argentina, good laptop computers are uncommonly expensive and impossible to buy. My concept is simple. Make this technology accessible to a large number of people by removing all the expensive parts from the notebook. For example: the screen. No I'm not joking. So, the tiny screen cost a lot? Remove it. I would gladly use any TV screen as a replacement. Like playstation. I know is not as mobile as one regular notebook, an it doesn't look as good, but is better than pc. I...

They need to make a keyboard that you can't see. It's just a little a pyramid type thing that stand up in front of you and when you turn on your computer. It shines the keyboard on your desk. When you type you hit the projected keys on your desk and it senses the position of your fingers.

This may sound strange, but is there a way that allows two or more PC's to be connected together directly from motherboard to motherboard to combine all resources. You could wire all the busses together via an extrenal cable and treat your total resources as one, and you could use only one power supply to fuel the entire network.
