For many years I have hoped someone would create a Portable Electric Back Scratcher. I have imagined it would look something like a small floor lamp stand that would have a timer on it and would have adjustable height and size for the area of your back, and it would comfortably scratch my back until I fell to sleep. How relaxing this would be. No need for sleeping pills. What do you all have to say about this one?

My idea is to supply light using optic fiber instead of the electric wires to save the energy. As we all know that when electricity travels through wires, it loses its power (potential difference). Hence we lose lots of energy when electricity travels from the power station to our home. My idea is very simple... here are the steps: 1) Generate laser rays (or other high intensity rays) at the power station and supply it to home via fiber optic. Light loss will be less than 1% in fiber...

Have you ever used photoshop and spent ages with the magnetic lasso going round the edge of an image you have taken with your digital camera? A camera could be developed that had some kind of depth sensing device, ultrasound maybe, and it could store this information along with the image. When you want to edit the picture you can split the foreground from the background and make automatic layers.

Fed up with losing your place in a book? The Digital Bookmark tracks the movement of a page. Simply enter in the page number where the book starts (usually 1, but sometimes not) and for each page turn, the digital bookmark increments. It attaches to the book either via a velcro band or clipped to the top of the book and never loses its place. Drop the book and keep your place! Get interrupted but come back to where you were!

Tired of being cold during a power outage and having gas furnace that won't work because it is controlled by electricity. Most furnaces are controlled by a 110v circuit. Find that curcuit and install a double pole double throw switch. One end is the house circuit and one goes to a 110v 1000 watt inverter that you can hook up to a car or marine battery. This can keep your electricity to the furnace going and keep your furnace running. Just change the switch when the power goes out and...

As we all know most of the power is wasted in transmitting. So we must find a solution so that we can store it in a tank & use it, just like gas cylinder. I am thinking over it. If anybody has the solution please contact.

I am neither a terribly neat person nor a person suffering from mysophobia, yet I would love to clean up the mess behind the multi-media section in my home where I had put my television, stereo, play station, video plyer, cable box, and some other appliances such as telephone. So naturally, behind all these would be a jungle of "needlessly" long cables. Presently, I had tied the cables into groups which helped a little in solving the problem. It would be really helpful if the cables...

The idea is to have a wall wide screen in a reception room in the house that recieves data (voice and pictures) on-line over the internet from cameras installed at locations of historic importance or nice views allover the world. Time of use can be rented for each location by subscription. You will be at you home once looking at eiffel tower, big ben, giza pyramids, etc... a life view with sounds at your demand at home.

You know when you go to theme parks such as Disney parks and all of those most of the time it is really hot on those huge lines. Some people decide to buy the fans that shoot water, but what they don't really notice is that every 2 hours they usually run out of battery and have to fan themselves with a paper or even with their hands. This invention would be the best because not only it works with sunlight but you do not have to pay for it. - Some people would say 'how about nights?' well...

Have you ever been barbecuing or travelling with you bike or done some other outdoor activity, and you looked at the overcast sky worrying when exactly it was gonna start raining? Well, when the rain finally hits you, it has already been falling for some time (a minute or possibly more). So I'm wondering if it's possible to create a cheap device that'll detect the exact moment the rain starts falling and warn you. A minute advance notice can be extremely valuable - you can evacuate...
