Why not provide our mobile phones with ECG machine capability of clinical-quality readings? Such a cell phone should have a pair of electrodes to send ECG readings via Bluetooth. The device could be held in the hands to take pulse readings, or could be placed on the user's chest. Of course, received ECG wouldn't be as comprehensive as a full electrocardiogram but it could be helpful while arrhythmia or other heart pattern issues monitoring.

My idea is to create a cell phone application for wheelchair users that will give information about the accessibility of nearby locations. The application will use a color coded map to display the accessibility levels of various places, such as cafes, theaters, or clubs. The maps will use open data that will allow users to modify and update the information. This open contribution ability is very important, because it allows the application to grow as it is being used.

The idea is to create a device that will use suction to attach to a variety of mobile devices and secure them to a flat surface. The device will be made up of two locking suction cups connected by a ball joint. The suctions cups will be to create a strong bond, able to last several weeks, and the angle of the device will be changed by adjusting the ball joint.

What if a remote control had a buy button on it? It would be very convenient to buy things which were in the commercials. To purchase something the user should push Buy button and then enter credit card numbers or passwords in the form on the TV screen. The good would be delivered at the address defined.

Why not create an electronic lamp which dynamically matches the color of whatever it stands on? It would be some kind of chameleon lamp :). The lamp would light the surface underneath it with two hidden white LEDs and then use an optical sensor to determine the correct color. It would match this color by adjusting the shade of numerous multi-color LEDs imbedded in its frame.

Why not develop a smartphone app which will work with metal detectors to help the hunt for unexploded land mines? The app will be able to detect and draw the outline of the buried land mine. The app will work with existing metal detectors, and provide a more exact visual of the shape and size of the mine.
