I wonder why so many ideas are about inventing the perfect TV... Anyway, here's another one. You probably know those postcards where you can flip the card and suddenly you see a different image. I've also seem money machines where the screen will turn black when you're standing just a few degrees away from the center of the screen. Why not combine both, and invent a TV screen that will show two or even three different programs depending on your viewing angle? Ever noticed that...

Here's one: in exchange for a small extra fee paid to your cable provider, they would notify you whenever a sports event is close and worth watching. For example, nobody ever watches tennis, but wouldn't it be nice to receive a message saying "Turn on channel 17 - there's a 14-14 tie in the final set..." so you could see the epic games without wasting time on the dull ones?

In computer if we want to hear music but don't want to switch on the monitor we usually switch off the monitor. This reduces the power consumption. Why similar idea is not introduced in television? For example if u want to hear only songs which are played in mtv or channel v and don't want to see the video of the song then we can use this idea. For implementing this idea there should be a button in remote controller. By pressing the button the power supply should be there to the...

A system that allows you to phone home to your video recorder to tape television programs you may have forgotten to time or program in. Phone menu allows you to pick what channel you want and start recording... that is how simple it needs to be... anymore complicated than that and you lose most of the public who cannot even program their videos in the first place. Especially a good idea for new generation dvd recorders.

Have you ever watched a politician or other public figure on tv, and wonder how that person looks to people in other countries? Does that cool football coach look silly to people in other cultures? Likeable? Grouchy? Right now, there's no way to tell. But if people watching in other countries could submit feedback online, we could tell what they're thinking. It would be fun, and might even avert a few international misunderstandings.

No more having to guess when your show will come back on and you can run to the bathroom and do any activity if we could see how long the commercials were before the show comes back on. We could hear an audible ten second countdown to show restart to return on time. This would be preferable to the commercial cut out of today since we might actually want to see certain commercials.

I would like to see a real three dimensional TV. Like an aquarium, filled with some kind of liquid, that can be controlled to display the "image". When watching, it will be like watching a mini theatre!

Why not have a TV receiver that can simultaneously translate up to 20 channels and send them wirelessly AKA broadcast them to the other TV's in the home. Room A wants to watch channel 2. Room A tunes their TV to channel 2 and the TV transmits to the receiver telling it to broadcast channel 2, therefore allowing the TVs in any room to receive channel 2. Up to 20 different TVs could tell the receiver to transmit a different channel. This would allow the simultaneous recording/watching of up...

What about making Flat Screen TV's flatter by putting all of the unessacary components inside another box, that could be hidden somewhere, and then the TV would just be speakers, the lcd screen and the buttons, and it will have wires running to the other box that does all that other stuff or it could be wireless, either way would be good.

Develop technology, intrinisic in the home phone, that before the phone even rings once, answers; "If this a telemarket, donation request, political call, or if your number has caller ID block, please hang up and do not try again, otherwise stay on the line and your call proceed as normal." The technology to create such a phone would have to be created.
