Over the years, there've been uncounted attempts to fight rough driving, but none of them has been really successful. Why not put the driver's phone number on the license plate? You bet that driving will never be the same again!

Today airline passengers travelling on "low cost" airlines do not want to waste their precious luggage allowance checking in heavy suitcases. Many low cost airlines restrict passengers to exceedingly low permitted weights of check in luggage. Ryanair allow 15 kilo and charge $20+ per kilo for excess. There is a market for a strong ultra lightweight wheeled carrier combined with for an ultra lightweight bag. Ideal would be a "hi tec" folding wheeled carrier which can be used in combination...

Have you ever asked yourself why there are no parachutes (or not enough for all passangers) in civil airplanes for emergency situations? Well I have, but the only reason I found is that they are too heavy and take cargo space. Is it plausible to parachute 100 people in case of emergency? What if there is a mechanism to parachute all passangers in their seats through the back of the plain. The seats should be similar with fighter pilot's seats with an incorporated parachute. I do...

Like magnetic poles repel each other, right?. What if we were to have pavements or "magnetic ways" that were the same magnetic pole as a magnetic skateboard. People will be able to hover and move by leaning forward and stop by leaning backwards. No fuel or energy is consumed either. Surely we could use this concept for motor vehicles on highways?

I want to have an eco-friendly hybrid bicycle that can be converted into a scooter, thanks to its built-in electric motor and on-board lithium-ion battery. When pedaling such a bike, users will charge the battery. The bike will have a semi-automatic 8-speed transmission, which should help when trying to ride up steep slopes. Maybe all bicycles in the future will be hybrid vehicles like this.

My idea is to have bikes with built in solar powered LED lights. Besides using solar, the lights of the bike could also be charged through a cell phone's micro USB. The bike's frame will be made of super light rust free aluminum, and will include an ABUS X-plus cylinder chain lock integrated into the frame, deterring envious thieves.

A new haptic steering wheel will give GPS based directions silently, by vibrating to signal where to turn. The prototype will include 20 actuators able to buzz in many different patterns, such as clockwise to turn right or counterclockwise to turn left. The wheel could also be programmed to warn the driver of other diving conditions, such as objects in the blind spot. The haptic steering wheel is supposed to allow drivers to keep their eyes more consistently on the road and...

A new robotic wheelchair will go where no wheelchair has gone before--climbing over curbs and tackling stairs. The wheelchair will feature four independently powered wheels mounted on five axes. Sensors next to the wheels will scan obstacles to determine if they can be rolled over, signaling the wheels to change to legs if necessary. An on-board computer will help keep the chair steady and the legs properly aligned, allowing the legs to step on or over the obstacle. The legs will...

A system that allows you to "switch" your vehicle to a "teenager mode". This would consist of a speed limiter for the engine so you can control vehicle speed, sensors on the seats to see if there are more passengers than allowed, and a GPS system that you can pre-program to set off an alarm (in the car and at home) if the vehicle enters and restricted area (ie. certain parts of town etc.) With teenage driving deaths at an alltime high, I feel this would be embraced by the insurance...

I would love to see a crew cab truck that has seats that are designed to fold out into a bed. I sometimes have to sleep in my truck and if there was a work truck designed so I could stretch my legs while sleeping inside it would make my neck much happier.
