I suggest creating the first ever wireless bike. The eBike will have only a tiny bit of wiring in the front hub. The bike will also have a USB port, charging port, LED batter power display, regenerative brakes and a wheel that will double as a generator. All of the bike's circuitry will be in-frame, including the electric motor, battery, throttle and peddle-assist functions. Motor range will be 12-15 miles. Battery will take 4-5 hours to recharge.

Surveys have shown that almost half of the respondents admit to flirting on flights, while one-third of them meet up after the flight has landed. The idea is to create an application that will help make flying more social, and less random, by allowing fliers to choose seatmates through Facebook. The application will allow users to link their Facebook profile to their check-in information, and then choose a seating partner based on their profile. Both passengers must choose to...

Why not develop a personalized onboard system to monitor chronic disease and personal wellness? The new system will be designed to react to simple voice commands, and will be able to deliver information on environmental aspects affecting allergies or monitor the blood sugar of diabetics through wireless glucose monitors. The system will also recommend alternative routes, suggest a snack, or roll up the windows in case of smog.

The idea is to create a motorcycle helmet that can be removed without moving the patient's head. Such a helmet could help to reduce the risk of exacerbating spinal cord injuries. It will be possible to remove the helmet by releasing one pin and two clips, which will allow the front of the helmet to be slipped off. The helmet will be also put on by opening the back and tightening the side ladder clip, which will eliminate the need for a chin strap and provide a better fit.

The idea is to have a bicycle lock you can wear, eliminating the need to carry a heavy lock around your shoulders or on your bike frame where it can feel clumsy and cause scratches. It will be the first bike lock specifically designed to be worn on the body. The lock will be adjustable and easy to remove, in contrast to conventional bike locks which must be locked onto the body in order to be secure. The lock will be made to carry its weight on the user's hips and will have highly...

The magnetic bike light will detach quickly and turn on automatically when attached to the frame. Designed to help prevent theft, the lights will be easily removable and pocket-sized, allowing them to be quickly detached and taken along when the bike is left unattended. They will fit an array of tube diameters, remaining securely in place and emitting a bright LED light from the sides as well as directly ahead. The lights can be placed anywhere on the frame, automatically...

It is known that a basking shark feeds by swimming with its mouth open. The shape of the shark's body plays an important role in its efficiency as a feeder. A pressure differential is created as the shark swims, resulting in lower pressure along the shark's top and helping to draw water out of the shark's gills in a way that allows it to rely on the passive flow of water to feed. Why not design a turbine with the shark's design in mind? Water enters through the first turbine while...

Why not create an electric drive that can be attached to any manual wheelchair, creating a long distance alternative for wheelchair users. The drive will resemble a pair of headphones, with two circular hubs connected by a curved section. Each hub will contain a 24-volt motor powered by a lithium-ion battery with a range of almost 20 miles. When attached to the center of the wheelchair's wheels, the device will be able to propel the wheelchair at speeds up to 12 mph. Steering...

The idea is to equip cars with the airbag system for pedestrians to reduce the force of an impact on people outside the car. The airbag will be contained beneath the hood just next to the windshield, and will automatically deploy if the sensors in the front bumper detect contact between the car and a person. The system will work in conjunction with the Pedestrian Detection technology, which will detect if a person walks in front of the car and will automatically activate the brakes...

Why not develop parking meters able automatically call the police when you have overstayed your parking limit? The new meters will have sensors in the ground under each parking space, which will keep track as cars move in and out of the space. The sensors will notify the nearest parking inspector when a car has gone 5 minutes past it's paid for parking time.
