Mount a sufficiently sized home air-conditioning unit and gas powered generator to power it inside of an old used panel van. Vent the condenser exaust out the bottom of the van. Cover the outside of the van in chicken wire to keep the inches of ice formed by humidity collection from breaking off and causing a road hazard. Use a top mounted billboard type sign to display "OVERKILL AIRCONDITIONING 555-1234" or "ICE MAN AIR 555-1234" (whatever) while you (dressed for winter) drive your big...

There are chemicals that change color with temperature (mood rings) and can be designed to coat paper stickers so that when a certain temperature threshold is reached, the sticker will change from green to red (for example) and not change back. We also know that most electronic components will increase in normal temperature when a failure occurs. With a sticker designed for and affixed to all components at point of manufacture, a failure would become VISUALLY apparent. Many TVs,...

Suzuki_girl saw a post of mine and emailed me about her university project involving a helmet with a reciprocating windshield wiper blade. Below is a drawing of an alternative that I came up with. I ride motorcycles and would like to see something like this on the market.

I do love to ride motorcycles and over the years I've had so many requests from riders that want to be able to take their cycles with them without taking up space in the back of the truck or having to pull a cycle trailer. This is my solution for that problem. You simply ride or push (if disabled) your bike onto the horizontal drive gears and idler rollers that stick out the back of the custom made hydraulic lifting bumper while it is at ground level (gravity fed to that position with the...

I did this one for an air conditioner repair friend a few years ago. The patentable part (but NOT patented) was designing the cutter blade (which fires like a bullet) to cut debrie free through all pipe sizes from 3/4" to 1/4". Everything else can be found inside a Co2 pistol or rifle. This makes copper plumbing and HVAC replacements a breeze!

This 2 piece synthetic cork eliminates the need for a corkscrew. Just pop the tapered center cork down with the palm of your hand and the outer cork shrinks to the center cork releasing the entire cork assembly allowing easy slip-fit removal. The prototype works perfectly. Full cross section animation available but too large for a forum. I got this idea after watching the female bartender make repeated trips to the managers office to get him to remove wine corks. The down side: When...

Someone just drove through my apartment parking lot with a half wave 'fiberglass' CB antenna (fishing pole length) mounted on their truck. When manufacturing the antenna, why not add the fishing line rings and fishing reel mounts into the fiber glass to create a dual purpose product (added value). I just did a google search and found that some people have wrapped wire around a fishing pool to make a cheap CB antenna but found nothing marketed the other way around -- a factory made CB...

On the Discovery TV channel it was explained that our dog/cat pets can only see garbage on our TV screens because their eye response is much too fast for the frame rate (pictures per second) that was designed for humans. This was their explanation of why dogs won't even notice "Lassie" on TV. We know that if we changed the frame rate to something else, humans would see various degrees of a flickering picture (like old silent films) and in some cases it would be so bad as to look like...
