Why not build a house that uses ground and snow as isolation? The house could have 3 sloped sides going to ground level and there if it is helpful could be roof covered air pockets between underground wall and ground. One side would be mostly glass. During winter the snow would help insulate most of the building (as there are no walls except the glass wall letting light and warmth in). Rainwater could be collected and used (by dehydration) in summer to cool the building. Air would need...

This is much harder to explain in words than it is to imagine in my head but I'll do my best to get my idea into words. Basically the pillows will be zipped to the bed so that you can move them if you'd like and attach them manually but other than that you won't have to worry about the pillows in making the bed. Then the blankets and sheets and whatever other blankets you may have on your bed will have a string inside the three sides closest to the wall and it will then continue outside of...

It's really noisy when the pressure from a pressure cooker is released from the whistle at the top of the lid. So if we use such a mechanism which lets the steam being released directly into top air thus reducing any kind of collision of steam with metal causing less noise. No worries about burning your face from the hot steam, because steam coming out of small hole at large pressure cools instantly as it comes to open space (pressure is negligible in comparison). I even thought of a...

WHILE I WAS CUTTING GRASS I THOUGHT THAT SINCE YOU HAVE TO COVER EVERY INCH OF LAWN, THERE SHOULD BE A GALLON TANK ON FRONT OR SIDE OF MOWER WITH A PUMP RUNNING OFF OF THE SHAFT TO SPRAY WHATEVER. YOU COULD SPRAY FERTILIZER, BUG SPRAY, OR EVEN JUST WATER, WHILE YOU'RE MOWING THE LAWN.

I always oversleep or ending up pressing the snooze button 10 times before I wake up. Why not create an alarm clock that has multi-functions: you have to sleep next to the alarm clock, it's positioned not too far away. So - when the alarm rings, and you do not wake up after 8 minutes, the clock has a hammer that hits your head. If you are still not awake after 15 minutes, the clock will spray water to your face. will try to think of other functions.

Everyone has seen the amazing levered grips that you can move any where, stick to any surface, and they hold hurnders of pounds. Those handles keep you steady so you don't slip. They didn't think about what we are slipping on. A wet or slippery surface. Take those same suction levers and put them on your slippery surface mat, underfoot and you will never slip. No more hundreds of useless little, moving cups and only four suction cups; one at each corner. Then unlever and lever to a shower...

We are fond of flies, cockroaches and other insects which keep distrubing in life. I have an idea for it - we have seen electric flies control all around which is connected to electricity when connected it will burn of. The idea is to have laser sensors at the entrance of the house or restraurant which are not harmful to humans. So by putting it in the entrance when the laser hits the insects, it dies. So easy measure to control pests and insects.

A thin piece of Cellophane of any size sticks to any surface wether it's cealings, floors or walls; even to your computer screens. With any possible surface, imagine you can easily transport designed art with no trace left behind. No more nails, glass, frames, holes, etc. - just Cellophane hanging around the house. How about a two sided cellophane sign saying "Occupied" and "Unoccupied" for the bathroom door. Unlike all other materials, Cellophane never looses it's power to stick.

I used to make furninture I had a modern spray set-up where the fluid was forced out of the carbided nozzle by physical pressure not by air (Lincoln makes this). The spray salesman at the time and me figured that it would be possible to make a slurry of cement and spray that also. Now you construct a large rubber bladder, like the bladder of a football, but this one ten feet around and in a bullet shape about ten foot tall. Then you blow up the bladder and you spray on some cement...
