The idea is to have furniture that can be changed to suit a variety of needs while taking up the smallest amount of space possible. Such furniture will consist of a soft, flexible fabric, a central hinge, and an industrial zipper. It could be altered as the need arises, from a single bed to a cozy nook, and the side panels could even be raised to create a private space or dressing room.

A sleek new hybrid lighting design will use both natural light and solar powered LED's to light interior spaces. The light will be created to take advantage of natural sunlight and the potentials of fiber optic cables. The light will consist of a parabolic collector lens installed on the roof, which will focus the light through UV and infrared filters and on through a fiber optic cable to the hemispherical bottom lens. 1. Remember those "mood rings"? They interpreted your mood based on your temperature. I'd like to see a faucet that contains a simple system for relaying the temperature of the water to the user. The water nearest to the end of the faucet is all that matters here..I've noticed my son is in the habit of touching the stem of the faucet before washing his hands in order to tell the temperature of the water, and to avoid burning himself. How about a visual representation? 2. I'd like to see a...

Why not design a microwave that can fit in a space the size of a drawer? The drawer sized microwave will use an aluminum blade to replace the microwave's rotating dish, and the hollow, stainless steel door will hold the electronics. A magnetic switch will turn the microwave off instantly and prevent accidental opening. The microwave will be controlled by a capacitive touch screen on borosilicate glass.

Do you often want to bring in your daily life a piece of something new, interesting and unusual? I suggest paying attention to the exotic, sometimes confusing cultures of the faraway lands. These cultures are often a source of great ideas which can be applied for different interior styles creation. The Japanese interior is the most popular today. Many modern cafes, offices, houses or rooms are designed in the Japanese style. But sometimes it is enough to use some Japanese interior...

Oil lamps are still widely used in spite of the fact that they are toxic and not environmentally safe. My idea is to use solar lamps instead of oil lamps. Solar lamps work 6 hours and above; they are available for all people who don't have reliable source of electricity. Solar lamps have changeable solar batteries which are environment-friendly as they are recyclable. Lamps have brightness regulator, they are water- and heat-resistant and can even be used below -4 °F and above 131°F.

We could use adding more uniqueness and character to our homes and add that to our address. We could set up a real National Paid Directory of house addresses and there names with each name different from any other. We now name stars and boats so, why not our homes?! We could get really creative and it could reflect our families personalities or the house or anything you can imagine from any real or made up word or short sentence ever spoken from time immortal in any language you choose. It...

A periscope type of insert for your chimney that projects real time view of the sky, or chimney top vista, to a screen at the fire place opening. A sort of Rube Goldberg version of the window.

Robotics that can build 3d dimensional building structures in the oceans using nutrients and materials from the ocean. For example, if you could make floating algae bricks, or Coral Bricks and robotically place and combine them. The inspection, maintenance and repair should be fully robotic/automatic also.
