I don't know why companies that make phones haven't thought of novelty type mobile phones like in the shape of footballs, teddy bears for kids, cars or semi nude models for adults even pop stars, guns, fruit machines, etc.

At work the other day some co-workers expressed a desire to listen to personal music, but we could not do that without earphones, at which point we would no longer be able to hear if our phone rang. I suggested a CD player with a phone headset instead of regular headphones. The CD player would also have a place to plug in the phone, so when the phone rang it would ring through so you can answer the phone (or continue to listen to music, if you're avoiding work). Text condensing for text messaging. I've heard of predictive text for cell phones, this is kinda the reverse. I've often found myself running out of text space and going back and condensing/abreviating words to squeeze a couple more in. This wouldn't be a problem if there were more spaces available for text per message, OR, if there was a text condensing tool on my phone.

Have you ever been talking to somebody on your mobile and wish you could cut them off without making it too obvious? It would be nice if mobile phones had a button that would introduce a realistic random crackle and fade to your end of the link. That way, it would sound just like you were entering a bad reception area and you could cut people off without hurting their feelings.

This is a simple motion control/capture device to be retrofit over any TV (can be programmed) which allows the user to control the tv using simple hand gestures. For example wave up for volume up, down for volume down. Wave right for channel up, left for channel down. Great for couch potatoes. Can easilly be made with technology available today.

It is normally seen in many households (at least in my household) that older people (sometimes we youngsters) tend to go asleep while watching television. So we can have a television set which gives a message, every 1 hour or 40 minutes, indicating that the television set is ON. Mind you! Maybe one of the movie companies like Blockbuster Video or Hollywood Video could team up with a cable provider to offer movies on demand. Much like pay per view you could order movies from it. But instead of watching whatever was coming on that channel and at the time that they are playing it, you could type in the name of the movie you wanted to watch, pay for it, and have it delivered to your TV. Do you remember those key-rings equipped with an alarm device? When you whistle the alarm goes out which allow you to find your keys. Now let's grab this idea and apply elsewhere. What about remote control for TV or other electronic devices. If you are like me always looking for your remote control, just buy an alarm key-ring and stick at the back.

How many people hate going to pay for something with their debit card and have to swipe it card facing me or facing teller? Why don't they make those debit card readers to read both sides of the card so it doesn't matter which way you swipe. Or make the swipe strip on both sides of the card...

Set sensors over head of the house garage door and/or ceiling so that you will always park the car in desired place. Never hit the side mirror on garage and leave space for other car. The sensor could be a (laser) light and linked to the door opener. If the car is not driven in from the right place and parked in right place the sound warning will be issued.
