The biggest hurdle to a physical money free society is small, personal payments. The easiest way to pay my friend £10 is to give him a £10 note. I could make a £10 PayPal transaction to him, but not if i am out, not at comp. But what if you could transfer money (like paypal) over your mobile phone? I could simply text a company the AMOUNT, your PIN, and the destination MOB NUMBER, and it would electronically transfer the requested amount to that persons bank account. It could...

A device that would record the user, time, date and length of each call that is made on a specific telephone so that you can compare it to you telephone bill to ensure that the telephone billing is correct. As it is now, the telephone company could add a small un-noticed charge or route a call via a more expensive route and charge consumers more for the same call to the same place and who would know? This would help keep the telephone companies "honest". Also, each user would have a ID...

I would like a flip-type handset for plain old cordless phones. While we all have cordless phones, they offer no protection to keep the buttons from being accidently pushed. They have them for cell phones, why not for cordless. I carry a phone with me all day but would like to be able to put it in my pocket. We keep 4 phones in our home/business and I'll be the first buyer.

Getting a caller ID on your phone display is a neat thing if the caller is already in your address book. However, if the number is unknown, it isn't exactly very helpful. It would be cool if the phone could do a quick lookup in an online phonebook database and display the caller anyway. Maybe this would be possible via Bluetooth technology?

1. The new MacBook Pros by Apple have LED screens, instead of the traditional LCD screen. LED screens consume much less power, therefore increasing battery life. How about doing the same for the mobile phones' screens? In fact, why not changing ALL the screens in every electronic device to LEDs? 2. Some wrist watches have no battery, they just have a small electricity generator made out of a small moving magnet attached to a soneloid and a capacitor. I own one such watch. :-) They...

On my cell phone, I'd like a button to press while I'm driving (could be part of the car-based charger) that would inform the caller that I'm driving and will call back when possible. Perhaps double-click this button to inform that than "I'm pulling over now/soon to call you" and single-click to inform "I will call later when I get a chance." The responses could be pre-recorded by the phone's owner.

Make a cell phone that you can sit down and it has a built in scale that will weigh up to an ounce. Should be relatively simple to make and there would definitley be a market for it.

Just like we can call our cell phone if we misplace it (of course utilizing another phone to do so.). What if your phone could be programmed, to have an option in the menu screen that would allow you to send a radio/bluetooth signal to a key chain on your keys so they can be found.
