It would be great to have a quicker test for tuberculosis. The standard diagnostic test for TB cannot detect forms that are resistant to drugs, and cell culture tests can take several weeks. With a new test the results are supposed to be ready in a couple of hours and determine if the patient has TB and whether or not it is drug resistant. Early detection of TB can drastically cut down on transference of the disease.

I have on more idea which could help to combat obesity. Why not create a system to send electrical impulses to the stomach, causing the patient to feel satisfied faster. The system will consist of an electrical stimulator and a sensor that can detect food in the stomach. The advantages of such a treatment: * It is completely reversible and has less side effects; * The system will be able to record the patient's eating and exercise habits.

My idea is to create a sleeping mask which not only blocks out the light but also wakes the wearer with a programmable sunrise. The best defense against common communicable diseases is prevention. Door knobs and handles are covered with a huge amount of microbes so why not create self-steralizaing door handles? I suggest creating a door handle that continuously sterilizes itself with a UV light, only taking a break when you actually use it. There will be some kind of switch in the handle's frame to toggle the sanitizing illumination on and off.

My idea is to create mobile application which will help children with autism to develop communication skills. The application will be based on Picture Exchange Communication System, i.e. it will help children to build messages from pictures and send them to each other. It will also contain a vocabulary consisting of words learnt by a child. The vocabulary could be easily updated as well as new pictures could be added to the application.

I wish I had some kind of an insulin doser inserted in my leg. The doser would check constantly my blood and deliver the right amount of insulin when needed. I would be able to recharge the doser with an injection to it. Such a device can definitely be used for almost any medicament.
