As soon as the ski season is finished, skis should be put away so as not to be damaged during the summer. First, remove the old grease from the skis. To do this you need a clean rag, gasoline or kerosene. Do not wet the rag a lot as you can spoil the top of the skis. After removing the old grease, let the skis dry. Then tar the skis heating them with a blowlamp. On a hot sunny day it is good to "warm up" skis, placing their work surfaces to the sun. In the sun the...

Inspired by the life vests used on airplanes, I suggest creating the world's first inflatable wetsuit. The wetsuit will inflate when the wearer pulls a cord that will cause a CO2 cartridge to inflate an air bladder located on the back of the suit.

Another idea is to create a skateboard with conical wheels, allowing skateboards to be more capable of carving into turns. The decks of such boards will be available in three styles, modeled after snowboards and long and short surfboards. The carving wheels will have the same diameter at their center as regular wheels, but they will narrow on the ends to enable to board to lean deeply into turns.

The vacuum climber will use suction to enable the user to scale walls more quickly and with more dexterity than ever before. The climber will be based around a pair of rear-mounted carpet extractor motors that will create a suction strong enough to support a climber with the connected handheld pads. The pads will be easily attached and removed as the climber moves up the wall, and the stirrups hanging beneath each pad will provide a foot rest that will encourage a motion much like...

Why not develop a robotic golf caddy that will happily carry the user's clubs and never expect a tip? The robot will be programmed to follow an individual, moving at walking speed and automatically stopping when the user stops, or it will be driven by remote control. Lightweight and foldable, it will be able to travel inclines as much as 30 degrees and carry up to 45 pounds.

I'm really fond of the idea of creating a device that helps strengthen the connection between a swimmer's arms and legs, effectively making both of them more powerful. Worn in front of the body, it can be used to generate resistance so the wearer uses more muscle power with each stroke. Worn running down the spine, it helps maintain correct posture.

A newly developed sensor-equipped compression shirt will monitor the performance of an athlete and even broadcast the information for the fans to enjoy. The shirt will consist of a small disc container the sensors, power source, Bluetooth transmitter, and memory storage. It will measure performance indicators such as heart rate, metabolism, and lung capacity, as well as allowing doctors to spot the early warning signs of dehydration. The information will help coaches and...

The Survivor Split snowboard incorporates a survival kit into its build, complete with shovel and saw. Based upon the idea of the splitboard, the snowboard is designed with a triple split. The two outside edges become skis, while the center uses the natural curve of the board to function as a shovel. The Survivor Split also includes a retractable saw blade suitable for cutting firewood, side mounted flint, and a built in compass.

If you start taking exercises it is a great idea to create a short training journal for yourself. What for? Firstly, the journal will help you to evaluate your efforts, define mistakes and detect weaknesses. Secondly, such a journal can help your trainer to identify your opportunities quicker and more correctly. How should a journal be kept? Below are several records which can be a good example. May 3. Warm-up. Four speeding-ups of 50 meters. Four...
