Internet Café business.
Business Overview
In 1994 there were a mere 30 Internet or cybercafés in the United States and by the year 2000 the number of Internet café's had swelled to more than 3,000 and still continues to grow. Why? Simply because there is strong consumer demand, and Internet café's can be an extremely profitable business venture. In addition to the usual fare of coffee, snacks, and Web surfing, other services to lure customers from the competition can be employed. These services can include a scanner service, digital printing, and even how to surf the Net instructional classes after normal business hours. The cost to open an Internet café is substantial. However, with a basic cup of coffee and bagel now retailing for $5 or more, the return on investment can be swift and this type of unique retail food business is an ideal candidate to be expanded on a franchise basis.
