  Portable Sawmills business.

  Business Overview

Operating a portable sawmill rental business can potentially earn you two sources of income. The first source can be derived by simply renting portable sawmill equipment to customers. Renting the sawmill equipment as well as supplying an operator, you or an employee, to operate the equipment for the customer can earn the second source of income. There are a surprisingly large amount of situations that require a portable sawmill to be used for sawing lumber on site, including creating new dimensions from salvaged lumber, log home building, and clearing fallen trees for property owners and insurance companies.
start-up costs: Portable sawmills retail for $10,000 to $20,000, and are generally situated on a flat bed trailer for easy transportation.
profit potential: Portable sawmills without an operator rents for $200 to $300 per day. With an operator the sawmills can be rented for as much as $500 per day.
